Teach what is expected and what is unexpected at school. ![]() What does it look like when you are doing your job? What does it sound like? Etc. Allow them to show and tell you their thoughts on how this should look. Use these questions for all classroom expectations. When there is a break, such as winter or spring, go over them daily again for a week or so to start out.Īsk: what does it look like to sit at the carpet? What does it sound like to sit at the carpet? What should it feel like…? An effective way to achieve this is to cover the classroom expectations every Monday morning. Go over them every day for the first month, then weekly. Have visuals of classroom expectation and rules posted where all students can see them. ![]()
